Questions

What do MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC each do?
MX records tell the internet which server receives your mail. SPF lists which servers are allowed to send as your domain. DKIM cryptographically signs outgoing mail. DMARC tells receiving servers what to do when SPF or DKIM fails, and where to send reports.
Why do my emails keep landing in spam?
Missing or misconfigured SPF and DMARC records are the usual cause, especially if you send through a service like Google Workspace or a marketing platform that is not listed in your SPF record. Fix authentication first, then look at content and sending reputation.
Why can't the tool always find my DKIM record?
DKIM records live at a selector-specific hostname such as google._domainkey.example.com, and there is no way to enumerate selectors from DNS. We check the common selectors used by major providers, so a blank result does not always mean DKIM is missing.
Should I start DMARC on p=reject?
No. Start with p=none and a reporting address so you can see which sources are failing without blocking legitimate mail. Once your reports look clean, move to p=quarantine and then p=reject.
