How fast does your site load?
Measure response time, content size, and identify performance issues.
Questions
- What counts as a good load time?
- Aim for a server response under 200ms and a fully loaded page under 2.5 seconds. Past 3 seconds, bounce rates climb sharply, and Google's Core Web Vitals start flagging the page.
- Why is my page size a problem?
- Total transfer size is the single biggest lever on mobile connections. Uncompressed images are usually the culprit, followed by unused JavaScript and web fonts. Serving modern image formats and enabling compression often halves the payload.
- Does hosting location affect speed for Nepali visitors?
- Yes, meaningfully. A server in North America adds roughly 200 to 300ms of round-trip latency for visitors in Nepal. Hosting closer to your audience, or putting a CDN in front of your site, removes most of that penalty.
